Prescription refills

When requesting a refill of a current prescription, please call your pharmacy. Many chronic medications are prescribed with refills. If the refills have expired, we will re-authorize if appropriate. Your child must be current with his/her regular checkup for us to maintain the prescription.

Please allow at least one working day for a routine medication refill. Refill requests will be taken only during regular office hours.

Some medications such as stimulant medications for ADHD are controlled substances and require a hand signed prescription. By law, these prescriptions cannot be called in to your pharmacy. For children on ADHD medications we need to be notified at least one week before the medication will run out. This allows the nurse time to take the information, get approval from the prescribing MD, print the prescriptions, and then have the physician personally sign. We will then be happy to mail the prescriptions to you. ADHD medications cannot be refilled if your child is not current with his/her physical or physician recommended follow up visit.
