Elizabeth Pediatrics
The CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics strongly recommend a flu vaccine for all children over 6 months of age. Even greater priority is recommended for children 6-36 months of age, and for those children with chronic conditions such as asthma and diabetes.
Due to poor results over the last three years, the CDC is advising we not use the nasal flu vaccine this year. We will not be stocking any of the nasal flu vaccine.
Children typically tolerate the flu vaccine very well with little or no side effects.
Please call soon to get your child on our schedule.
On October 2, Elizabeth Pediatrics had a relay team compete in the sprint triathlon event called Tri At The Trump, at Lake Norman, Trump National Golf Club. Much of the money raised went to Hemby Children’s Hospital at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center. The team was comprised of Kelsey Swann swimming, Glenn Holladay cycling, and Lisa Mills running. It was the first triathlon event for all three participants.
Dr. Joy Ball has been an integral part of Elizabeth Pediatrics for almost 11 years, touching many lives along the way. This summer, Dr. Ball, her husband, and two daughters will be moving to Scottsdale, Arizona, where new and exciting challenges await. She will be with us until the end of June. Dr. Ball will be sorely missed, but we wish her all the best in this new phase of her life.
